Jerry Skidmore Posted May 28, 2022 Share Posted May 28, 2022 I have 2 1971 Monte Carlo’s one is a 402 and the other is a 454. I believe the distributor vacuum line is the same for both.Both we’re missing this item, and the repo from parts place seems close but not correct.The end going to the electric solenoid goes too far. Does anyone have an original that I can get measurements,traceing or pictures? Or better yet bring to upcoming convention. 1970 and 1972 are different. The advance tees off and goes to the solenoid and carb. I don’t know where the metal line goes by the distributor. I’ll need to know when I put my quadrajet back on ( once I can get it to work). But I ended up buying the Holley because the quadrajet wouldn’t work ( after it was rebuilt) so I didn’t have to mess with this part of it. But I will eventually. I’ll have to get the quad rebuilt again to figure out what the original guy did wrong. I’ll probably just do it myself at some point. It’s on the pos 70 right now.
