k and n filter

guys, is it worth buying an expensive k and n filter for my stock engine that has the cheap paper element now,i have the factory big block air cleaner ,maybe i would like better air flow not sure if it is worth the price  or not ,thanks roger

I have a spectre on mine but it is a full flow filter. It had a paper filter with chrome top. It seems to have better air flow.

I just replaced my filter, went with Edelbrock after some research. Mine was age/brand unknown, Didn't realize the top part wasn't available as a individual item so I'm stuck with red and black for awhile lol

I didn't either I thought I was buying the complete filter assembly that's how I ended up with 3 of them lol, they kept sending me just the top and didn't want them back. I ended up spending the extra money and got the blue one complete but they did give me a credit towards it.

Purely personal preference… 

I've had a few K/N filters over the years… Always a maintenance issue. Either too much oil, not enough or often neglected… I decided to keep it simple and stick with good quality paper filters.

In my humble opinion the K/N filters are way overrated and I've never seen a Dyno test that showed an improvement…
