jft69z Posted August 17, 2022 Share Posted August 17, 2022 I usually trim the excess length with tin snips, then smooth it with a file. I'll assemble it first though, mark it with a sharpie to get it nice & short, remove it, then cut, file & re-assemble. Usually I'll only leave a couple of slots showing, just enough to engage the strap thru the drive screw. I hate when I see that excess tail on those clamps.
