Shed Re-Do. (Not the Denny T way)

One of my son's and I have been redoing my shed.  All new siding and trim.  (No boards smashing into either of our faces).

The whole rear support base and sill was rotted away and the rear of the shed was sagging real bad.  We had to use my 3 ton floorjack to raise it up enough to put in a new rear base support and new sill plate.  The only thing left will be a new roof.

The tire planter is an old Model A Ford tire.

Looks Great Rob!!! As i did the same thing this past fall, to my shed. Also no 2x4 mishaps for you or I. I am glad in a way as it took me a few months to find and put together that trophy for Dennis!!   Even though Dennis was well deserved of that trophy!!!  lol

There’s no before pictures so I can only assume that this is just a newly placed shed. But as I said before, it looks great. 🤪🤪🤪

Here you go Dennis

I have had enough Shed-Time Jim.  Maybe Dennis T would like to do it, he really knows his way around a 2X4.... or maybe he doesn't.

Jim you need to change your motto if you want help. “ a little work, a lot of wine or spirits “.

Well, now the shed is pretty much done.  Yesterday I ripped off the old roof and tar paper and installed the new roof.  Roofers no longer use tar paper under the roof, they use a non-skid plastic underlayment.  It is about a 10X10 shed.  If you have ever done any roofing you know that there is a lot of cutting end pieces but the straight runs go pretty fast.  Due to the size of the shed I was having to make two cuts for every row so my straight runs were only 3 shingles long  so I spent as much time cutting end pieces as I did doing straight runs.  I bought 3 bundles of shingles (1 square) Well, 3 bundles was not enough, I had to go buy an entire new bundle of shingles for 5 shingles....  Bottom line is, other than a couple areas of calk and touch of paint it is DONE.

Boy Rob,I can save you alot of work. I have everything for the roof ( metal). All the 2x4 stringers and side pieces to finish the job. Interested? I know it's fall and the grapes are being picked as we speak. Oh and I also have some Apple pie and Peach moonshine ready for Halloween! You have done a great job on that shed, I bet the wife thinks you should do this as a side gig to support your Monte habit. I'm always looking for good help.
