You remove all the factory lights, and nothing they provide for the rest of the gauges shoot down towards the light switch bezel. I looked at it briefly when I installed mine, to see if there was an easy way, but nothing popped out to me. Realistically, you wouldn't really miss it, and I don't tend to drive that car much at night anyways. Maybe a small fiberoptic line like the ashtray light would work if pointed there, but I didn't want to start modifying the D/D gauges to install one and ruin the warranty right off the bat, without testing the system first.
