Tmac Posted February 2, 2023 Share Posted February 2, 2023 I read to set the car on the ground with all the weight on it before torqueing the control arm bushing bolts etc. i have no weight just a frame, any wisdom or just snug it and do it later? Dtret Posted February 3, 2023 Share Posted February 3, 2023 Interesting thought. We’ve all seen the assembly line photos of the bodies being dropped on the frames at the factory. Do you think gm used a simulated weight system that produced the final weight of the car when they put final torque specs in place? It would have been unproductive to go back and torque everything on final assembly.
