Having Issues, at least in my head, with fuel line/brake line clamping.20230306_213954.thumb.jpg.00f336e87fdd8d268e05f1b778d2f912.jpg I like the clamps to go around the springy protector and it's not workin out for me! Clamp size, line protector length. Any good pics of how it should be send em my way.

I got the fuel/brake line clamps from Inline Tube, when my factory ones weren't in good shape. They have a real good selection.

I added different sized lines with the EFI too, so they had OEM looking clamps to accommodate that as well.

Do you have the Factory Assembly manual? They have pretty good diagrams of that stuff.

I do have the manual to look at. I can't tell from that if the clamps are suppose to go around the protector or just around the line itself. Not really looking at it from a "correct restoration" standpoint but I don't want to wear a hole In my new stainless fuel line. The brake lines worked perfectly.

I guess I'm not quite understanding what you're having difficulty with.

The clamps go where they're supposed to on the frame locations, and they're sized accordingly. If it's going around the line only, it'd be 3/16, 5/16,or 3/8" (whatever the line size is). If it's going around the spring protector, it'll be the next size clamp up, that fits around the line properly.

The Assembly manual shows the line and clamp placement pretty clear. I've also googled the GM part number of the clamps listed, if I wasn't sure and went from there, as far as size and style.

You can also google the part number and put 'AMK' after it, and it should take you to a catalog page on their site. (it's easier if you use the 'Find' search feature to locate the part number on the page that google finds).

Here's an example of what pops if you google  3952718 AMK:

https://www.amkproducts.com/bulk-fasteners-listing/?codeforlookup=7730

which will ultimately take you here once you find it on the previous page by the GM part number serch and click the picture of the clamp.

https://www.amkproducts.com/bulk-fasteners-products/?Product_ID=10023

Easier yet, just enter the GM part number in the AMK search box, and it'll produce a result, if they have a corresponding match. Most of the clamps can be sourced from Inline tube though, maybe cheaper, maybe not. Inline doesn't typically use the GM part numbers, but once you decide what you want from the other search, it's pretty easy to see what crosses over at Inline.

My question wasnt clear, I am sorry. i am quite capable of research and finding the clips. All the clips i took off were 5/16 (not correct) so the assembly book does show the placement on the frame of the clamps, i got that! the assemble book showes 1 -11" spring protector,  have about 2 ,long ones but not enough to go under each clamp, so do i get ones to go just around the lines and slide the protectors out of the way or get the right size for the protector and the line. Again, my only real concern is the line rubbing and chaffing. I like the idea of going around both, but i dont want the line sliding back and forth in the protector.

I posted the clip links and the suggestion to use the Assembly Manual to help you determine what size clips are required, and where they go. That will help you determine if that particular size clip would go on the line, or the spring sheathing.

It's pretty simple really....
