1970mcss
Looks great, I used polishing compound to get the scratches out of plastic lens. I thought there was a write up hear or maybe on the internet. I saw that toothpaste may work
Dtret
If the lense is too bad, replace it. I got one for my pos70 at The Parts Place and it fit perfect and even had the gm part number stamped on it.
420ponies
The tooth paste does work well. Microfiber cloth to rub off. I used a t-shirt to apply it. Light scratches only, like they say, a new one will look great! I've seen guys use a polishing pad on them back in the day. Restored a ' 66 Elfujimo ,427/4speed like that (back in '85), when you couldn't buy "new parts".

BobW
I've used Novus plastic polish for years on my motorcycle face shields and windscreens, works great! https://www.amazon.com/NOVUS-PK1-2-Plastic-Scratch-Remover-Bottles/dp/B002UD0GIG/ref=asc_df_B002UD0GIG/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312168126179&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=11997765096847143644&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9012392&hvtargid=pla-406644991415&psc=
