Joselk1 Posted April 29, 2023 Share Posted April 29, 2023 I thought I should start a new thread. Flew from Michigan to Orlando this morning and purchased this Forest Green car. I have a couple of questions about the rear suspension area. Are the lower control arms correct for this car or are they modified?. The trans tag is easier to see than photograph but looks to C and A instead of R. I know the build day is 11/69 as still the blue door sticker and trim tag is 11/A Posting a couple pictures…..Owner is delivering the car to me in Michigan on May 9 or 10th Thanks for the help. Glen Posted April 30, 2023 Share Posted April 30, 2023 I second what MC1of80 says regarding the control arms and sway bar. Unfortunately (unless I’ve been informed incorrectly), it appears your TH400 originally belonged to a 1978 GM product. I’ve enlarged the pic of your trans tag and included a pic of the one on my ‘70 SS. Not a deal breaker IMHO, but would likely be shunned by the “purists”. If it’s not too late, maybe use this as a bargaining chip to knock a few thousand off the agreed-upon price… especially if it was advertised as all original/numbers matching.
