Wheel Code Chart for Rally Wheels

Looks like YH was used on 70 Montes too. Checked on a Camaro website & they seem to verify that as well. Date codes would be a factor in verifying use on the Camaros.

I'll merge this chart into the pinned thread with the other list. Thanks Dale!

More info on the difference between the YH and later FW wheels:

Looks like the info on that spreadsheet may have originally came from here:

Great information! Thanks!

I remember purchasing two additional rally wheels for my 71 when I bought snow tires.

I haven't needed them, but needed one of the wheels to replace one after the tire store bent one of my original wheels removing the tire from it.

I have one in the basement I should look at for the codes. I think it is one of the aftermarket wheels.

Everyone, i have a 1971 ss. It looks like i have 4 fw  code rims with the correct dates. my question  is does anyone know if there is supposed to be a fifth rim  that same size. I had heard that it would have been a rally but it would have been a 15x6 not a 15x7. Also the documentation im my reading says the ss optioned car would have xy codes. These are all fw with the spare missing.

FW is the correct code for 71. The car should have came with the same wheel for a spare 15x7 rally. If I remember correctly The XY code were used in 1970 if your SS was ordered with hub caps they were a standard black rim. The only wheel in 71 for an SS was the rally wheel.
