No worries, DragCat ( Mark) is always looking at  finding these 1st gens. It all depends on how we can spend your money!! . IMG_1438.thumb.jpg.9faf796a7eabcb30e6cd2a9a06bce3d6.jpg

Yea, I'm always looking, got a "unicorn" I'd like to find but may be easier to hit lotto 🤣 I think we all enjoy spending everyone else's money, but we honestly point out the things we notice. All good in my book

Here's Arial view of the part of show field we were on, yea we're down there somewhere. Now mind you this is a small section of the show field that takes up 400 acres of the fairgrounds.

I made it around pretty much everywhere with my scooter but still probably didn't see everything, definitely a lot of ground to cover.

We walked a lot more this year, than prior years combined. Mainly because the weather was a bit cooler (low 80's), as opposed to mid-high 90's the last couple of years. Saw things I'd never seen before,  which was good.

There is a 'Technology' building we went thru that was really interesting,  never even knew it was there in the past. Steve mentioned it to us, so we went and met some guys from 'American Auto Wire'. Got some contact info from them, and hopefully can get them a little more involved with our group here.

Yes there were several buildings where they had stuff to see inside. The center of progress building is where a lot of vendors were not as many as in the past but was a bunch In their. Really to much to see in one weekend.

This was around 10 years or so ago when the track and grandstand was still there. My brother and I took our cars around the 1 mile dirt track and got some pictures too, it was a blast. This is one reason I say the show had changed over the years. And the obvious question is NO we were not supposed to fo that 😅

I miss coming to see the dirt races at that track. Saw a monster jam or 2 here as well as a few demolition derbies over the years.

All the way in the back by the horse barns. There was a track for horses too on the inside of the car track. Was tunnels to drive through under the track to go to the other side. They had concerts there, figure 8 racing, demo derby,  one year was snowmobile racing on the dirt and tractor pulls. Was a great time for sure except the year they had rat rod drag racing and one lost control at the end and hit the flag man. That was bad for sure but he did make a full recovery. That was the old days now it's all changed some for the better some for the worse. I really miss the flame throwers they were fun to watch you could feel the heat a few hundred feet away half way up the grandstand.

Here are the flame throwers I was referring to, they were very cool but don't get to close. One time we were in the stands near the upper yellow section when they went it went from about 80 degrees to about 150 of so in an instant.

was at a show yesterday and they had several of them there. They did not light them up but one nice looking 72 chevy pickup had the paint burnt off of the tailgate and the clear was bubbled on the rear of the bedsides and taillight lens were cooked
