Welcome Michael. We hope you enjoyed the Eastern Meet at Carlisle and will continue to join us. A very nice garage to work on your Monte and other vehicles too.

Looks great. the only problem I would have is that wiring  for the dash. I'm pretty much a mechanical man. You have a great looking shop. I'm lucky I have my son inlaw's  shop to use a lift whenever I need.

Very nice shop and Monte Carlo you have there. I have had my dash out like that and upgraded to the gauge package.I finally got it back in just last week (2 1/2  yr. project along with the new engine/ drivetrain). Boy, I wish I had the room you have in your garage...... 'course there would be more projects also !! I'm trying to remember if we met at the Eastern Meet. I didn't have my car there either.IMG_1438.thumb.jpg.9faf796a7eabcb30e6cd2a9a06bce3d6.jpg

Welcome, Michael! I'm looking forward to seeing your car when it's done. I also have a Black Cherry 1970. I have restored the dash in two Monte Carlo's, it can be somewhat daunting but very doable. From the looks of what you have and the condition, you might consider finding a dash harness rather than trying to fix the mess you have. Unless you happen to enjoy that sort of thing (said no one ever). LOL

I'm an electrical guy.    The harness is pretty good.    The previous owner messed up the factory radio harness so I pulled that out as I am installing a retro radio so will have a new harness for that.     I did purchase a new courtesy light harness as this one had a funky splice and one of the sockets was buggered up.    More to come
