Has anyone had problems with their front stabilizer bar coming loose from the chassis? Yesterday at my local car show some one pointed to something hanging down from the front of the car. The drivers side mount had come loose from the chassis and was hanging there. good thing all I lost was one of the bolts. The threads on the chassis were undamaged. After having to explain to the Auto Zone tech the difference between a standard and a metric bolt I managed to repair it using lock washers this time. Just wondering if anyone else had this happen to them.

I've seen the threads go bad but if they are still good I'm not sure. Maybe over time it loosened up and bolt fell out. Definitely want to keep an eye in it.

Had something like that happen on a right front bumper bolt.... always seemed to come loose every now and then.

Fortunately it wasn't a threaded frame connection.

Similar fix, used one of those nuts with the built-in serated washer. Worked fine. :)

I always use grade 8 lock washers even on lower grade bolts. I think that they retain their tension better. Using Loctite and the lock washers would give you  more reliability.
