cbolt Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 Does anyone know the thread pitch of the two bolts that hold the bottom of the rear seat back to the metal dividing the trunk from the rear seat? It seems when the painter reassembled my interior he conveniently left those bolts out and I know they were there when I took it to be painted. That was back in 2016 so that is how long it has been since I have had my rear seat out. Anyway, if I knew the thread pitch I would just pop down to my local Ace hardware and pick up a couple of bolts. Thanks Quote
jft69z Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 These are the type my car has, to hold the rear seat back, upper portion to the floor, Jim https://www.amkproducts.com/bulk-fasteners-products/?Product_ID=11197 Something like this with a large flat washer would work too: https://www.fastenersuperstore.com/products/354035/self-tapping-screws?pid=17345 Thread pitch would be a 1/4-14 3 Quote
cbolt Posted July 11, 2024 Author Posted July 11, 2024 Turns out ss396 has a warehouse about 5 mins from my house. I am going there tomorrow to pick up bolts and save shipping costs. Easy peasy! 3 Quote
willie Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 Jim, not sure if its the same guys that work there, but when they were in CT they were a great bunch to deal with!!! Good for you being so close, i am jealous as heck!!!! Quote
cbolt Posted July 12, 2024 Author Posted July 12, 2024 Willie, I had heard they had a warehouse in town, but never needed to deal with them before. Now that I know I am sure they will be my go to parts spot. They even host a cars and coffee event monthly between October and April. Crazy I have lived here for 17 years and just now learned all this. Quote
Montemedic Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 Yes Willie, SS396 did move down to Florida. They always had reasonable prices and great customer service too. A great resource for you Jim. Nice to have them locally. 1 Quote
