I was here over ten years ago, when I was first restoring my Monte Carlo.  It was so long ago, that I don't remember my original name, and I think my email has since changed.

Anyways, I am back.  My Monte needs some work, but does it ever really end?

I checked to system and can't seem to find any prior info with your name, but they changed a bunch of things a number of years ago that may have lost members as far back as you mentioned.

At any rate, we're glad you found your back and look forward to seeing what you do to the car & helping you if we can.

@Joe T.

Yeah, it was a long time ago, I am sure that my old user account was long since purged.  LOL!

No biggie, I didn't post much, and I only remember getting an answer about side molding clips which were a hard find for me at the time.

Ok.  So I also just spent my allowance, and became a paying member. LOL!

Welcome back Craig. I not only really like your car but I am in envy of the fact that you get an allowance and 25 bucks to boot. The allowance giver must be rich. 🤑

I wish.  It is more like being old and foolish, but really how foolish is upgrading your Monte?

lol. I guess that would depend on who you are asking. You probably won’t get a lot of complaints here.

In the classic car business there is NO such thing as a finished product. All that means is there is something you haven't done yet or forgot.

Craig, in the he older records I have I can't find any record of you being a dues paying member in the past but that does not mean you were not a dues paying member.

You say you don't remember your original screen name and it may have been under an old email address.  If you have had numerous email addresses your original screen name may be able to be retrieved in other ways.  I won't ask you to post any current or past email addresses due to privacy concerns but if you could email or Private Message any email addresses you may have had at that time I can try to search your original screen name here on the site.  You can email it to me at rob29ford@aol.com.

For quite a few years, I used to go to car shows with a good friend of mine.  He has a Dodge Charger, and there was something that I would always notice.  Almost everyone would stop and look at his charger, and would have tons to say about it.

People would walk by my monte, and appreciate it as well.

More often then not, the ones who commented the most about it were those who once owned or who currently own a Monte Carlo.

Monte Carlo people seem to be a small group of the car group!

Just an interesting observation.

Mine was mistaken for a charger once by a kid who was with his mom, he said look mom there's a charger I said where I didn't see one, I told him what it was and I guess he learned something that day. I love it when the young kids attend the car shows or cruise ins.
