jft69z Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 So, a few of us got an email today regarding a flash sale for next years GM Nationals/ FGMCC mini-meet. https://content.carlisleevents.com/vo/?FileID=984197e8-6aa5-49ab-b2a2-93851a740602&m=cd78d63f-2745-476b-89bd-c660e4805333&MailID=46854712&listid=82668&RecipientID=24867220694 If you registered for next year's event already, you can get a refund for the price difference. I called them up directly at 717-243-7855 and they refunded me $20.45 right on the spot. Key facts: It only applies to the show field registration, not the additional trailer parking (same deal as when they offered a $10 discount right after the show last year). It's best to have your credit card handy, as she'll need that number to issue the refund back It's also best if you have your class number you registered into, but she'll still find it.. The sale is from now until November 4th, according to the flyer they emailed (above link). I was the first one to call she said, but they were able to do it all right over the phone. If you run into any problems, let me know, but it seemed pretty straightforward. As a side note, if you haven't already registered, it appears this would be a great time to do it. They tend to offer discounts other times of the year, and also close to the event, but not at this price point ($19.95 today vs. the usual $40 discounted rate of $10 off the standard $50 fee) from what I recall Joe T 5 Quote
willie Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 Thanks Joe, just did it myself with no problems!!! Thanks for the heads up!!!! I did find something funny, my email said $19.55 but she charged as Joe stated $19.95. After she gave me the $20 back i wasn't going to say anything about the 40 cents!!! lol But i am now in for that show! 5 Quote

But Joe’s retired now, so that extra $.40 means he’ll likely be eating generic cat foot this week. 2 Quote
Dtret Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 Done. Kinda like a buy one get one free as I registered two cars. 4 Quote

Hey cat and dog food is more nutritional then half the garbage on the shelves now and definitely better for you than fast food 😅 3 Quote

For me, it's dog food..."Old Roy's" nowadays. 1 4 1 Quote

Sids Monte Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Done. Easy peasy. Bummer they don't give you a deal for trailer parking too. I never even noticed the price difference. good catch. I just knew it was a good deal. 3 Quote

Growing up drinking tap beer and rail liquor, I never understood how much I was missing; “Good booze” is just that. As for Old Roy? Nothing but the finest beaks and feathers in that there kibble 😂 4 Quote
cny first gen 71 Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Lisa feeds her dog raw ground chicken or turkey with fresh raw vegetables and sometimes some kind of kibble. Her daughter spends around $1000.00 a month for dog and cat food all specialty raw foods. Three dogs and 1 cat, I say yuk to that! But they claim it's better for them. I saw one of the rescue places had a year old male great Dane up for adoption I couldn't afford to feed that thing but he looked beautiful. Quote

It contains veggies, fruits, fish oil and ground bone among other essential ingredients and comes frozen in 8 ounce patties. He gets a total of 2 pounds a day and I also add additional assorted frozen veggies like carrots, peas, green beans, sweet potatoes and pumpkin to at least one meal. His coat is better, eyes clearer and breath better than when he was on the kibble the city provides (which is still good stuff- Blue Wilderness). He’s also less itchy. Costs me about $350/month but I still take the kibble and feed it to the Lab, so it offsets my end. A raw diet is absolutely better for most dogs, Steve. I know of country/farm people who literally feed their dogs an assortment of raw EVERYTHING that hasn’t even been processed. Chunks of raw fish, chicken beef, rabbit etc with raw and/or steamed veggies and the dogs thrive on that diet. Might not be for all dogs, but raw is what they all ate before they became domestic pets. 2 Quote

A mix of ground beef, chicken, or lamb with veggies, eggs, yogurt and supplements in the morning and raw meaty bones at night, usually chicken necks. a few times per month we will throw in a chicken heart, liver, or sardines. I buy it online and usually order around 60lbs at a time. https://omaspride.com/ 4 Quote

Pretty much with the discount trailer parking is free 😁 If nothing changed also allows tow vehicle parking in DESIGNATED areas 🤣 I say this as 2 Marks needed to be reminded of this by security 🤣 1 Quote
Dtret Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Funny thing. Barb called me back and told me that my credit card company declined the refund. I told her that they are probably mad because I pay off my bill every month and I don’t let them make any money. 2 Quote
