Canuck Posted October 29, 2024 Author Posted October 29, 2024 This will be a nice car for someone but certainly not the caliber of car we have seen sell for that kind of price. The more I look the more I see an incomplete restoration. 4 Quote
alain boileau Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 🙂For $100,000.00 usd you would expect a near perfect car? In my opinion you have a 25,000.00 to 35,000.00 USD car To much to correct on this one car. This is just my 2cents Alain🙂 P/S this looks more like a fishing expedition 3 Quote
Marks71 Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 I think the seller’s dreaming on that one. A bit of arrogance in the sellers opening statement too. Nowhere near enough photos also. Where’s the air ride? The hood with the 71 spear looks to be 3/8” above the left fender, and something doesn’t look right with the fit of the grill that really needs the SS emblems to go away. The headliner install looks to have issues too. I could go on, but no need. 4 Quote
cny first gen 71 Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 Well if that's a 100 K car mine is for sale too 😅 2 2 Quote

Rob Peters Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Another of those where a guy's wife says you're going to have to sell that Monte so he lists it and weeks later he can say "Honey I have tried to sell it but it must be one of those times it just isn't a good time to sell a classic car. rob 1 4 Quote

Glen Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 I’ll give him $100K… …if it’s one of the elusive 4-speed or LS-6 SS’s. Otherwise I’ll leave it for Dennis to acquire to complete his First Gen SS Clone Hat Trick. 3 Quote
alain boileau Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 🙂The fishing expedition is not being lucrative Alain🙂 3 Quote

Michael Boyte Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 At this pace 😂 , before long very few people will be able to afford our Montes.. I'm certainly glad and proud to have such a vehicle before it got to that point !!!! A lot of things we can look back at in 10 years and say, wow , I certainly do wish I had bought a lot more of that at those prices, ( cars, property, stocks, homes... ) which I thought at the time to be outrageous . This I have noticed to be true my entire life. 3 Quote
alain boileau Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 🙂We have to be realistic .There are to many dreamers. And also if you price your commodity to high There are no buyers.95% of us as hobbyist are on a budget That's a fact of life. Alain🙂 1 Quote

This I have noticed to be true my entire life. I bought my 70 chevelle SS in 84 for 2500 bucks. Still have it. I wish I would have known I would have bought more. And yes the Monte’s will do the same. 7 Quote
