Has anybody ever sprayed clear on their Burl wood insert?

I can tell you not to wipe it off with any type of cleaner. Say bye bye to the lettering. Ask me how I know.

Without having a junk insert to practice with, I wouldn’t do it. Plus, with what Dennis said,  the prep alone is guaranteed to remove the white lettering.

I sprayed my dash with clear but not my console. I checked for pics on my phone but i do not have any on the phone to show you.

Did that include the burl wood insert?

Yes my dash insert is what i sprayed clear.
