I asked the seller about his wheel and tire sizes and figured I'd post it here for him taking the time to answer my questions. (He only knew the tire size) 1 Quote
Michael Boyte Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 I agree with the nice wheels. I'm not on Facebook, so I'm just going on the pictures posted here. It's definitely been tubbed at least mini tubbed if nothing else. I love it when you see a fully tubbed vehicle from the rear, especially when it looks like a steam roller !!! 5 Quote
502ci Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Not able to mini tubb a Monte. Inner fender is flush with the frame, you could notch the frame then min tubb it. 5 Quote

502ci Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Yeah, that tire looks like a monster for just a 275/60/15 At the very least that has to be a 10" wide wheel to stretch the sidewall making it look fatter than it is. Too bad he doesn't know the back spacing as now I am curious, lol. Â 3 Quote
502ci Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 I just relooked at the profile of the fender again...that wheel tire combo is recessed in pretty well (looks good) so something has been modified. 3 Quote
Scott S. Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 If the builder went to all that work under the hood, he may have gone to a Blue Oval 9" rear end.... Just a thought. 3 Quote

Dtret Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 I’m not a fan of the scoop either but at least it’s warranted. 2 Quote
Michael Boyte Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Yeah..no.. that scoop would have to go ! Still interesting car though 2 Quote
Marks71 Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 The first thing that came to mind upon seeing the scoop is the trash receptacle at the exit of the McDonalds drive thru. Would much rather see the bug catcher. Not too crazy about the interior either. Wheels look great though. 3 1 Quote
420ponies Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 The statement is very, very true on this Monte Carlo. I can only think that they had a model car and built it this way, now it's reality? I'd also like the know that backspace of the rear rims.I like the stance and big/ small tire combo. I can remember a set of 15x 10's with a 2 1/2" backspace. Had them take the center out and move it back into the wheel. It looked cool, but that was on a '78 Camaro. 4 Quote

DragCat Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Since the Monte is pictured in front of Stellar Motors I went to the website, it's not listed there. I'm not familiar with the LTZ model of the Monte either. 🤣 As said, its interesting, but if they don't know the BS (backspacing) doubt there is much info avail on the rest of it 3 Quote

To that end, I’ve created three alternate scoops that are much more visually appealing. I’d like the FGMCC membership to vote for their favorite… 7 1 Quote
Rob Peters Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 For me it would be the last one. rob 1 Quote
