The Carlisle Mini-Meet dates will be June 19th through 22nd and the actual GM Nationals will be June 20th and 21st.

It is time to start making your plans for my Carlisle GM Nationals Mini-Meet.  Get your Bench Racing Chairs warmed up.

This is not our 2025 Eastern meet, it is the Mini-Meet that I host in the years the Eastern Meet is not held in Carlisle.  The 2025 Eastern meet is set for Somerset, Kentucky.

Since this is a Mini-Meet we will not be kicking off the meet on Tuesday or Wednesday but members will be arriving soon after noon on Thursday.  Any club activities will start on Thursday with the actual GM Nationals on the Carlisle Fairgrounds running all day Friday and Saturday.  We will caravan to the show field as a group both Friday and Saturday.

Our bench racing sessions will be help Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.  There will be some spirited games of Left-Center-Right during our bench racing sessions..  I will try to get some door prizes together to be given away during our Saturday evening bench racing.

Hopefully on Thursday we will get enough members together to decorate our club canopy and see if we can do a Three-Peat for "Coolest Club Hangout.

As of right now I have a contract for 40 rooms and hopefully if needed the hotel will grant additional rooms.

Our Carlisle Eastern and Mini-Meets  always draw our largest attendance because of what it has to offer and the location.  Last year in Carlisle we held our largest meet ever.

On Saturday evening we will have our group dinner.  Details for this will be announced at a later date and it will depend upon the number of members and guests joining in for the dinner.  I will start tracking our attendance at a later date.  You can start making your hotel reservations now by calling the Fairfield Inn and Suites and identifying yourself as a FGMCC Member.  The hotel phone number is:  717-243-2080

For Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights the room rates will be the same for each night at $199.00 per night.  They will have Queen/Queen Rooms, King Rooms, Queen/Queen Suites and King Suites.  All of these rooms will be at the same room rates.

If anyone arrives on Wednesday the room rates will be $169.00.  All rooms will be Plus Taxes.

So I can keep track of how many rooms we have claimed and other tracking info please provide me with the following information.  You can post this information here or email it to me at rob29ford@aol.com

Unfortunately as of this moment I will be unable to attend,  I have reservations at a campground I've been trying to get into for 2 seasons now. If something goes south with that plan then maybe I'll be able to attend.  Will definitely miss all the fun for sure.

Booked 2 rooms (Doug & Myself), will send the info separately.

For whatever reason, the initial hotel phone number posted came back bad, so I edited it to:  717-243-2080

Today is December 21st which means it is the shortest day of the year and time for my yearly post about our yearly Carlisle Meet.  What it also means it the days sill start getting longer each day and the fourth thing it means is it is only 6 months until the longest day of the year which will fall during our 2025 Carlisle Mini-Meet.  At least 12 of the 40 rooms in our hotel block have already been claimed.

You may want to go ahead and register your car with Carlisle Events now while they have their Holiday Discounts in effect until January 2nd and get your hotel reservations made at the club host hotel.  We look forward to seeing everyone.

Thanks Michael!!!  This will be Michael's first ever meet or mini-meet.  I have seen several pictures of Michael's car and it is really beautiful.  It is the best year (70) and best color (Blue).  Can't wait to see it in Carlisle.

Just a note, Carlisle Events is honoring the First Generation Monte Carlo due to the 55th Anniversary of the Monte Carlo.

They are looking for Monte Carlo's to go into the specialty building.  There are advantages and dis advantages to having your Monte in the Specialty Building.

An advantage is your car will be under cover and roped off during the whole time of the show,  I think you are given entry to the show field for yourself and I think one other person.  I think they provide parking for your tow vehicle and trailer if needed.  Your car is not eligible for show field award consideration.

A few disadvantages are:  if you want to hang with your vehicle and the club members you will either need to decide to stay with your car in the specialty building of hang out with other club members at our club canopy.  You must have your car at the show field prior to the show during set-up and can not remove it until after the show during tear-down.

In the past we have had members enter their car into consideration for the Specialty Display.

If you have an interest in registering you car for consideration for the Specialty Car Display please let me know and I will let you know what you need to do and how to do it.

Wow,  that is neat 55 years, never crossed my mind.

Hopefully the club will get more members and thier MC's to show up for the event.

2023 in Logan Utah we had 26 Monte Carlo's  I think. Arron can correct me.

Years ago Carlisle gave away a car each year.  At the 40th anniversary of the MC they gave away a 79.

Syracuse used to do that too. I know a guy that won it one year it was a year before he actually took possession then another 3 years to get it right, the builder really didn't do a good job building it. Now they give away garage gear which I'd rather win than a car.

The “ Pumpkin Run “ in the Cincinnati area still did in 24. But I think that’s about to come to an end also.
