With the Carlisle Mini-Meet only about a month away this is a reminder that any unclaimed rooms in our block of hotel rooms will be lost so if you are thinking about attending you need to make your reservations ASAP before these rooms are turned over to the genera public at a much higher price.

With this in mind, if you already hold a room reservation and you find you are not going to be able to attend please DO NOT cancel your room reservation.  Instead, please contact me and I will put you on a list as an available room reservation.  We usually have a few members deciding to come at the last minute and this way we will be able to transfer your room reservation to that member so they can take advantage of the reduced club room rate.

It is time to start making your plans for my Carlisle GM Nationals Mini-Meet.  Get your Bench Racing Chairs warmed up.  

This is not our 2025 Eastern meet, it is the Mini-Meet that I host in the years the Eastern Meet is not held in Carlisle.  The 2025 Eastern meet is set for Somerset, Kentucky.

Since this is a Mini-Meet we will not be kicking off the meet on Tuesday or Wednesday but members will be arriving soon after noon on Thursday.  Any club activities will start on Thursday with the actual GM Nationals on the Carlisle Fairgrounds running all day Friday and Saturday.  We will caravan to the show field as a group both Friday and Saturday.

Our bench racing sessions will be help Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.  There will be some spirited games of Left-Center-Right during our bench racing sessions..  I will try to get some door prizes together to be given away during our Saturday evening bench racing.

Hopefully on Thursday we will get enough members together to decorate our club canopy and see if we can do a Three-Peat for "Coolest Club Hangout.  

As of right now I have a contract for 40 rooms and hopefully if needed the hotel will grant additional rooms.  

Our Carlisle Eastern and Mini-Meets  always draw our largest attendance because of what it has to offer and the location.  Last year in Carlisle we held our largest meet ever.

On Saturday evening we will have our group dinner.  Details for this will be announced at a later date and it will depend upon the number of members and guests joining in for the dinner.  I will start tracking our attendance at a later date.  You can start making your hotel reservations now by calling the Fairfield Inn and Suites and identifying yourself as a FGMCC Member.  The hotel phone number is:  717-243-2080

For Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights the room rates will be the same for each night at $199.00 per night.  They will have Queen/Queen Rooms, King Rooms, Queen/Queen Suites and King Suites.  All of these rooms will be at the same room rates.

If anyone arrives on Wednesday the room rates will be $169.00.  All rooms will be Plus Taxes.

No Pat, this is a good thing. This is just one of the many ways we try and help fellow members. I don’t know if I have but I can look. If I have and don’t go to Syracuse it will be given to Joe , who is going. I’ll see him in Carlisle and Dayton. Both of which are before Syracuse. You may want to think about joining us in Dayton Ohio, only a couple hours drive and no car necessary.

I hope to have an Itinerary for the Carlisle Mini-Meet/2025 Eastern Meet posted here on the site  very soon.  

I also want to make you aware of a seminar I will be hosting at the Carlisle Show Field.  This seminar should only take between a half hour and an hour.  I will be doing this seminar on gas gauge/fuel sender troubleshooting.  It seems many of our members are having issues with their gas gauge not reading properly.  This seminar will demonstrate how to isolate the area of the problem.  I hope we will get a lot of interest for this activity.

I wanted to update you on our GM National Mini-Meet.  I also wanted to let everyone know that if you have not made your hotel reservations yet, we will lose any remaining rooms in our block on May 30th, that is only 5 days from today.

Today I have added new FGMCC Members John Engle, Patrick Hogan, Kevin Gasparini and Josh Thomas to our list of attendees and this has brought our new total to 53 members registered with me to attend. 

Since the hotel has added some more rooms to our block we still have around 5 rooms in our block.  We usually get some members signing up at the last minute so it is good to have this buffer of additional rooms with less than two months until this great mini-meet.  That said, in a little less than a month from now, we will lose any rooms that have not been claimed.

Just to reiterate what Rob has said in the emails, please have exact change for the food activities. Don't be THAT GUY (holding hand up) who's looking for change 🤣 The planning and executing of these meets is stressful enough! Luckily Ron bailed me out since the front desk couldn't make change on my 1st Carlisle event 🤘

Those aren't Dennis's feet in your photo but I would bet Dennis will see this and respond if he has what you need.  If so I am sure he would be willing to deliver them to Carlisle.
