72 Monte Carlo Posted February 1 Posted February 1 My only Monte is my 72 which was built in the Van Nuys plant. A woman ordered it brand new, dark sequoia green, green interior, black vinyl top, tilt column, and AC. She had it until around 1999 or 2000 and she got too old to drive anymore, so she sold it to the guy I got it from. He drove the Monte for like 2-3 years until he or his son put it in a ditch and crinkled the right front fender and tilted back the core support a little bit. It sat on cinder blocks in his yard from that point until I got it in July 2017. He pulled the engine and radiator out of the car but everything else was there. I'm the 3rd owner of the car, which makes me happy to know the history of the car since it was new. 8 Quote
Leghome Posted February 1 Posted February 1 my 70 I ordered in Sept of 69 was a Van Nuys car because the Flint plant went on strike just after I ordered it. My present 72 also is a VanNuys car being originally titled in Anderson CA May 30, 1972 3 Quote
