The first time I returned to my home Air Force base in Blytheville, Ark and pulled up to my Barracks and about half of the guys in the barracks were out in a field next to the barracks and they stopped playing and stared at it as I pulled into our barracks parking lot.  The majority of the guys had never seen a Monte Carlo.  Of course all of the doors, hood and trunk had to be opened and inspected.

Finding the zippered bank pouch of 100s and 50s* hidden under the dash pad of the ‘71 when it was pulled to address the blower motor lever not working on all speeds.

Drive in theatre was definitely one of them. I had blacked out windows at the time 😀

As a lifeguard under the boardwalk around midnight with twin sisters from France. Until then, I didn't know how open-minded the French were. 😂

My first new car I bought was a 1981 Camero. My winter car was a 1969 Impala. The 2nd winter the engine blew and I was trying to find another winter car . I bought a 1970 Monte carlo that was all rusted out and drove that back then for a few years, never realizing that that would be a classic, and I would own a really nice one 45 years later.

Sorry,  I found one more, a video from 2012, again at the Woodward Dream Cruise. I recorded the Channel 7 news for the evening because we were out cruising Woodward. I got home and watched it to my surprise, we were recorded cruising! (It looks like you will have to download it to view it, sorry)

Travelling 900 miles for the first Western Meet in 2004 was a great one too.

Awesome pics. I’m curious about the identification of good and great. For the sake of my marriage I would have reversed them. lol. 😂

The first post I did in this string I gave a memory of my first Monte and the day I drove it onto my Air Force Base.  I will now give a favorite memory of my current Monte.  Actually I will give you two.  For the first one, the year was 2002 and my wife and I were at our first FGMCC meet which was held in Commerce, Georgia at the Super Chevy Show.  We were presented with two awards.  One was the award for Longest Distance Driven to the meet and the other one was the Members Choice Award.

And the second memory was in 2011 at our Eastern Meet in Carlisle, PA when my car was selected to receive a 10 Elite Award.  Back then each of the 10 Elite winners brought their Monte to the grandstand area and that is where they were presented the award in front of the people sitting int the grandstands.
