Tremec close or wide ratio

For those who have made the change to the Tremec 5 speed what ratio (close or wide)did you select? Also what Overdrive?

Depends what rear gears you have, and engine torque. 

I put the wide ratio, with .72 5th gear in my Camaro. I already had existing 3.08 gears in the back from the Doug Nash 5 speed that was in there. With the 454 in the car, first gear is kinda useless though. If I had to do it again, I'd maybe look into one of the other boxes. Tough call...

The car came with 2.73. Silversport quoted a close ratio. Initially I'm trying to decide to move to 3.73 with the close ratio or stick with the 2.73 and a wide ratio. Opinions welcome. Motor is a 402 with a bit of a cam.

My monte has a 496 with a close ratio 5 speed tremec and 373 rear. Hold on tight.

I would give the Tremec Technical Support a call and speak with the engineers regarding it. They can assist you in picking the proper transmission and gear ratio for your application.
