DragCat Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Just found out my newly reopened local track in Va has installed a timing system. 😀Hopefully they have it up and running this summer 🤞Sure beats a 3 hour each way travel scenario. Pic of the new tree 11 Quote

420ponies Posted April 16 Posted April 16 I'm 1hr 45 minutes to the nearest  one. They have opened  up another that closed in '19 , that's the same driving distance. 1 is 1/8 mile and the other is both 1/8, 1/4 mile. 2 Quote
502ci Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Cool that they reopened your track. Dragway 42 is 40 minutes from me and Summit Racing Motorsports track is 72 minutes so I have always been lucky having a track and a choice as to which one I wanted to go to. 2 Quote
DragCat Posted April 16 Author Posted April 16 When I started we had Moroso (PBIR) in Fl, about an hour straight up the turnpike. They were only running 1/8 but added a sportsman class so we could run 1/4Then I had EastSide in Va, 45ish minutes without having to get on the interstate, 1/8. We still have Imokalee about 2 hours drive, they supposedly were closing but now open for the rest of the year. That drive at night across the alley is just brutal. This one in Va reopened last year, 1/8,but no timing system, first time I left off a flashlight🤣 My vehicles run what they run, I'm the one that needs seat time and working on my r/t 🤣 I went to VMP earlier this year, 3 hours each way, in the suburban, no trailer. Street cars ran 1/4  2 Quote
