I like it. Few things need to be put back, but not absolutely necessary.

That '72 doesn't look bad either. Does that '70 have anti-hop bars on it ? After market suspension is nice!

I smell a rat.  Actually a few rats. When did the second owner get it?  Who bastardized the suspension?  Wrong engine code listed (CRW). Tach is wrong. Air cleaner wrong. Trunk paint wrong. Steering wheel wrong. No G67 air tank present or indication on wheel well that it ever existed. No pix of underside/chassis. And a Flint car to boot, so no chance to verify via build sheet.

Too many things don’t add up.  The most egregious sign (to me) of pretending something is what it isn’t?  The addition of the ‘SS’ on the rear panel.  Car looks clean enough, but you’ll have to convince me that it’s a legit SS. I won’t hold my breath

I defer to FGMCC’s resident clone expert… what say you, Dennis?

Having delt with fuel sender issues recently, I think, looking at the gas gage pointing to the 3:00 O'clock position there is an issue there.

I have the same issue on my 71. I followed your thread on repair yours, and I’m not looking forward to it.

Yea my gas guage problem looks like it turned in to more of a nightmare than just the sending unit. It's still apart but that's a back issue more than anything else. Talked to Joe the other day and thinking it may be something up in the  dashboard possibly a grounding issue or something. So that'll have to wait for a while so for the time being I did all this and still don't have properly working gas guage,  looks like it's going to work from about half tank down so guess I'll keep track of mileage for a while longer. Getting into the dash scares me because of the dreaded snowball effect. I'm sure that's going to happen there 😆

Sorry to break it to you, but with the dash you just have to jump in. I have had my dash out several times working on it to the extent that it no longer seems like a difficult task. The hardest part, or the scariest, is the brittle plastic areas that the various parts screw in to. You need to really take your time putting it all back together. What I have found is that putting each of the little screws back in their original hole is your best bet for not cracking plastic stuff. Doing that is tedious, but worthwhile.

Thanks Jim, but I know I'm going to fine all kinds of stuff in there that needs to be replaced.  To my knowledge the dash has never been out so if everything is original who knows what I'm going to find.

You will definitely find brittle wiring and if you are anything like me you will want to do something about that. Otherwise, go slow, take your time, and if you have to use you phone to take pics so when you go to put it all back together you have a reference to look at.

I'd at least buy a new gauge cluster piece (that everything goes into, all the gauges and the screws go into), I had to buy one,After I decided I had it all together and it broke on the 2nd to last screw to install. That's why I don't like messing with the dash. Now I have 1 turn signal bulb not working (in the dash), so I'm hoping just to take my new dash pad off (3rd time ),and fix that problem.Other than that, it's a lot nicer than before for sure!

You guys jinxed me… I just unwrapped the 71 today and took it for its first drive.   Obviously I filled the tank before winter storage and this is the first time the gas gauge has ever been in this position, it’s always functioned properly since I’ve had it.  Something told me to buy the extended warranty from Bob…

Small block fan shroud.

It looks like the holes for the front G67 bracket are there.

Good eye on the bracket holes. Didn't catch the shroud.  I was looking at the photos on my cell phone without enlarging them.

Yep.  First thing that Dennis said.  I’ll crawl under her and look next time I go for a ride. Other than that, the maiden 10 mile voyage was uneventful.  She started right up and ran great. I’ll update accordingly …
