Dtret Posted May 24 Posted May 24 Not the best picture but it will work. The center hole with the slide goes on the welded pin. The upper lip is bent to for the trim to snap on. Once that lip get set in the groove of the trim it’s tough to pop out. You can get the off by sliding the trim to the side to hit the open part of the clip or you can pop the trim off the clip with a trim clip removal tool. Usually the tool is plastic with a small blade like a putty knife. 2 Quote
Marks71 Posted May 24 Posted May 24 The trim removal tools, $12–$15 work well. Made mine out of a putty knife off a photo of one. Then finally bought one which worked equally to the one I made. There is a pointed hook that slips between the trim and the glass. It’s pretty much done by feel. The tool is slid along the trim until it stops on a clip. Then it’s rocked back slightly to bend back the clip which disengages it from the trim. There are some videos on you tube which are pretty good. 2 Quote
