DragCat Posted May 28 Posted May 28 If it were closer, for that price I'd definitely take a look https://www.ebay.com/itm/157032758799?_skw=monte+carlo&itmmeta=01JWB7WQ2BQAT71TRRQ2KKJ168&hash=item248fe1be0f:g:s2QAAOSwHc1oNeFM&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA8FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1eSacGcJr2VVB%2F17uUuqsP9ymaAwchNZzazToOcCNFq%2BDMKovAbtm6cEAb8AEfcLFjH8ADlsZ5JrZaIgO8g5pGZR%2BLNl3kbeMGxTEBKBy%2FnXtinV0SwXiuZyFvNcKGBxjAzKIHmcyEujXRlJSes9gtHaBk7eGprde9bC%2Fc05Ei5PCsgZD3%2BscA3%2BK0zdDvILVY%2BmAmoBdzgFdzaM8xA0Jlxxz4T0RmcI1A22sP199nIM4pRqjpSBZ0aEFFIJ1NNjj26WFciLebvbhawiD%2BoBoViceqnTEQMJqnOhvRxaG0Btg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR4zy8ufiZQ 2 Quote
420ponies Posted May 28 Posted May 28 (edited) Wait a minute..... did someone photoshop my car onto the chassis? I'm liking it! Where do you think it will land ? near the reserve? That's about 9hrs from me(through Canada).Maybe we could get Leo to have a look at it. I bet he's seen it before. Google maps says 7hrs? Edited May 28 by 420ponies added content 2 Quote
willie Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Not sure if i am crazy about the 4x4 stuff, but i have to say the body alone is worth the 8K in my book..... 3 Quote
Dtret Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Come on , think about this. Wouldn’t that be fricking awesome as a tow vehicle for your show car. 3 Quote
Dtret Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Ls it with an overdrive transmission. Put the interior back to stock look. Make it a column shift and the console shifter is used for the 4x4 ( wait is it 4 wheel drive, gotta go back and check, never mind I’m stupid). 2 Quote
Dtret Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Be even better with a Duramax attached to an Allison. O ya. 2 1 Quote
420ponies Posted May 28 Posted May 28 I'm going to watch and see if it get's to reserve. This one isn't cheap. I'm thinking high 20k. We have 6 days to see. It's an older build, still looks good in pictures. 3 Quote
MCfan Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Now that's cool! We've probably all seen first gen Montes abused more with far less desirable outcomes! 3 Quote

72 Monte Carlo Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Those bucket seats would have to go to the burn pile. Also, that front narrowed stock chevy front bumper used as a filler panel, would be eliminated for a custom drop valance of some sort. I think a guy would win a lot of trophies at the car shows showing up with that 72 Monte pulling a car trailer with another first gen Monte Carlo on the trailer. 2 Quote

I wouldn’t care about trophies, I just think it would be cool as heck. 4 Quote

420ponies Posted May 31 Posted May 31 I think..... This tow vehicle, towing a Blue'72 to the show field would be awesome. But ....even better, the wife driving the tow vehicle !! Now that would be a awesome day! My brother in law quoted this last weekend, " you always have to make a grand entrance, don't ya" ....I didn't know what to say. Never felt that way. 3 Quote
