cny first gen 71 Posted June 1 Posted June 1 There's always the quick jack but they only lift it up about 3 feet or so for under 2 grand. The hoses and controllers can be disconnected too. Quote
Chevy Dave Posted June 1 Posted June 1 To prevent ramps from sliding, place them in your garage where you are going to use them. Next, measure to the back wall. Cut two 2×4's the length you measured and place between the ramps and the wall. Quote

Once you have the car to the level you want it, can it be locked into that position and the two lines be disconnected. My concern if you can't remove the lines by way of a quick disconnect at the ramp or the foot pump it it may be hard to get under it from the front without the hoses getting in the way. rob They lock into place at the fully up position so there is really only two positions, up and down. For doing work from a creeper they are at the right height, at least they are for the Camaro. I did an oil change and a couple of other tasks under it with enough room for me to comfortably work. Dealing with the undercar layout, that's a different story. For the wife's Equinox they are a bit tall for oil changes seeing that it's high enough to comfortably change the oil and filter on the ground due to the forward drain plug and filter location. For doing our Montes or any older car with higher clearances they will work fine. I just can't use them on my Silverado 2500 or K5 Blazer due to weight. The hoses I don't know if they can be remove during use or not. I got these for now to be able to get the Camaro off the ground for oil changes until I can get a two post lift installed. There's not a lot of points to jack those cars up safely. Quote
SPLATT71MC Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I did pump them to full height and you are able to disconnect the hoses in the up position. They do lose a small bit of fluid in the process though. 2 Quote
