Except here in Central Indiana where Ole Red gets overlooked almost every show he is at. The women all luv the red and the guys all had one or one of their buddies did but judges don't see him even though they look. Now last weekend in Dayton the judges thgoughly inspected him down on hus knees looking down the sides. Everything was supposed to be out of the truck and the interior I just set everything up like I do at every show tools laod out Fire extinqusher and old fart spray hydralic jack kit open and all four of Glendia teddy bears on the perches and we still got a class winner award. Go figger because under the old ownership of this club it would have been disqualified 2 Quote
Dtret Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Judging is to subjective. It’s all a matter of opinion. Last year I went to a Chevy dealership show, sponsored by the local Pontiac club but all gm cars were welcomed. There was about 120 cars there and they gave out 75 awards. Every single Pontiac got one. 2 Quote

Depends on the persons judgement and shows criteria.. congratulations on your beautiful red monties recognition 🏆.. 2 Quote

They have dedicated judges who judge other shows, etc. and have some type of credentials typically. They had 2 judges go over a car, then they average the results so it's a little more even. 3 Quote

I might spend the day before detailing, but if I run through a mud puddle enroute that's how it sits on the show field. Although I did wipe off bird poop on the hood last year at Carlisle 🤣 FGMCC criteria is different from Carlisle criteria in judging for example. And yes it's all subjective. The first show I took my Monte to, when it was "stock" the judge was wearing a Moustang hat, I laughed and said I guess I'm screwed 🤣 he laughed too. Still got a trophy. I'm NOT dis'ing those who win awards/trophies ........But it should in NO WAY disqualify the time and effort you put in if you don't 4 Quote
