Thanks Allan for the B Day wish and your helpful opinions.

I'm still waiting for Microsoft tech about the error code that I sent them.

If I get nothing I'll try what you said ,Thanks for the advice

I never heard back from Micro Ess reguarding the update failure problem.

I thought that before I got in over my head that I would remove their security program and Reinstall it because their was a litle updating glich when it was first downloaded.

I reinstalled it yesterday afternoon and it went right thru like it should had the first time.As of this evening it has been updating with no problems. I'll keep check on it for the next couple of days before I get my hopes up.The updates are all up to date and the virus and definitions update which was my problem is updated without showing that it failed,so lets hope its working . Thanks for all your expert opinions with this.

Life is good again :-).
