McCall72
Any one have any tool suggestions on separating ball joints? I'm trying to remove some coil springs and have bent through two of those pickle fork tools. (Cheap China metal). There's gotta be something better than that out there.... Andreas
I usually use a BFH (Big Friggin Hammer)... Just make sure that the coil springs are secured with chains or similar.
bobsmc
simply strike the spindle with a hammer or use an air chisel to hammer the spindle in the area around the ball joint. or if you are not going to replace the ball joints ,i like to take the two bolts out of the lower c/a where it attatches to the frame with a jack supporting the c/a. then lower the c/a slowly until the tension is off the spring. reverse to reinstall. i think that this is an easy way to do front coil springs. just my experience. bob
