gprimm
While getting ready to put the 700r4 in the Monte I cleaned and painted the crossmember. Now I would like to replace the rubber bushings that go on each end of the crossmember. Cannot find them at any of the parts stores. Any recommendations? 70mcarlo
The Parts Place has them - part no. AT6545Z Crossmember Insulators (rubber) - $19.00/pair. They also have the brackets as well. They are also in Illinois. http://www.thepartsplaceinc.com/ Quick link is also in the FGMCC "Parts and Services" section.

Clever Idiot
Got them in that night, actually. I also ordered the bolts for the brackets - I had my original brackets blasted and powder coated with my frame and crossmember. The rubber bushings fit perfectly, and the bolts and nuts were perfect, too. Flange-head black oxide bolts, zinc nuts and lock washers. gprimm
I just cleaned, primed and painted mine and the rubber is great. Will replace the bolts, washers and nuts with stdainless steel. Replacing everything on the car with stainless.
