Guest Posted April 28, 2003 Posted April 28, 2003 I bought a 72 monte that had been siiting for around 12 yrs.It seems to have rust in it Im getting particles of rust in the fuel filter.I didnt know if I should just clean it or use a sealer to.If anybody has ever use a sealer what kinda luck did you have.Thought about trying por 15 seal kit or eastwood sells one to.Thanks for any help??? ------------------ http://photos.yahoo.com/prostrt57
astrochimp Posted April 28, 2003 Posted April 28, 2003 the POR15 gas tank kit works great. I used it on mine. (plus some pig puddy to cover holes)
Guest Posted April 28, 2003 Posted April 28, 2003 Tank sealer works great on small pin-hole type leaks. Used it on two vehicles with old tanks and not only did it stop the leaks but the small rust particles that always sneak past the filter and mess with the holley needle valves were a problem-no-more! About $25. per QT at the local Western Auto.
