Guest Posted November 23, 2002 Posted November 23, 2002 For those of you that have recently installed your headliner. How does the windlace install above the side glass? I have even bent the tabs out with the healiner hooked in place and the windlace just falls off. What is the trick? Windshield and back glass windlace went on OK.
Guest Posted November 24, 2002 Posted November 24, 2002 While I've not replaced the headliner in my Monte, I do have the drivers side windlace comming loose now and again. I believe that the trick is the use a light coating of an adhesive. I have no idea as to which one to use though.

Guest Posted November 26, 2002 Posted November 26, 2002 Having never done it before, I was going about it wrong. Didn't go on right first try, so I bent the tabs out too far. Windlace was going against these straight out tabs and not slipping over. Bent the tabs down a little and figured the angle of the dangle and got the windlace inside lip to hook over them. Success! Ready to shrink wrinkles with hair dryer now and ready to glue glass back in. Big time progress with this project out of the way!
