Guest Posted November 1, 2002 Posted November 1, 2002 I'm trying to install a new rear package tray but I've been having some problems getting it in. Can anyone give me some pointers? I still have the earmuff boards in and I'm not sure they have to come off or not.
Guest Posted November 2, 2002 Posted November 2, 2002 I just installed a new one in my Monte and flaps (about 2" in length) had to be bent up on the ends for which there were stamped creases to do that. These flaps go under the earmuff boards.
Guest Posted November 2, 2002 Posted November 2, 2002 Thats what I thought. I went about things without thinking them through. I ended up bending the flaps down . I have an extra tray if the flaps break while trying to bend them up. Thanks George.
BA71SS Posted November 4, 2002 Posted November 4, 2002 Just put one in my monte not long ago too. when I got to the part where you fold the vinyl over the strip of foam where it wiil meet the top of the back seat, I tried using the 3M trim spray adhesive with no luck. I then used weather strip adhesive and it worked great. Butch
