O.K. mechanics out there....I replaced the old rear coil springs with TRW heavy duty coils...and installed new shocks. Now why is the rear end still sagging? Would replacing the front coils make the front end come down some? I appreciate any suggestions. By the way this is on a 1972 Monte Carlo.

Just a guess here, but are you sure you got the right springs? Just another guess but what kind of shape is your rear control arm upper and lower bushing in? I installed some heavy duty hauling springs on my 72 along with new shocks also. It seemed to lift it back into the right position.I don't think installing new front springs ar going to help with lifing the back of the car. If anything it would make it worse. Is there any damage to the rear of the car?

There isnt any damage to the car. Rear control arm and bushings sounds like the remedy. Thanks for the info!

It sounds like you did the same thing that I

did with my 72. I used the TRW heavy duty

spring (do you know have the part no. of the

spring that you used) and It brought the back

end of the car up where it should be.

Check your control arm bushings, If that

isn't the problem you may not have gotten

the right spring....And replacing the front

springs will bring the front end up higher

causing the rear to look as though it is

sagging even more.
