jft69z Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 If you're really concerned about rust, I'd spray the paint as normal & just spray a little cavity wax or some rust preventative like that on the nut plate for protection after the paint cured. Realistically though, that plate looks pretty good for nearly 50 years old. If it was going to be a rusty mess, it would have happened by now. Quote
