My blower switch is hard to slide and fan won’t turn on.

i have a new switch.. what is best way to access to replace.. can see it with dashboard pad off but hard to get at

I just did mine about a month ago.  I will preface this by saying I have the dual speaker setup with a speaker on each side rather than a single one in middle.  I was able to do it by just removing the top dashpad.  Tgere are two plugs and it is held in by two screws.

If you have just the center speaker setup I am not sure it would be quite as easy.

i have stereo

and I got it with just the dashpad.

old switch was slightly melted.

new one doesn’t seem to get hot

not sure why?.

The same thing happened to mine to a point. Except mine only worked on high speed.
