Arvizu9618 Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I know our rides take the 6" tailshaft, I have the opportunity to get a TH350 with a 9" tail. My question is: can I swap the transfer case??? Thanks, ART Quote
Sam (Bones) Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 no...I assume you mean tailshaft the output shaft of the trans has to be changed too Quote
Arvizu9618 Posted November 13, 2007 Author Posted November 13, 2007 yeah i meant tailshaft, I now know it's a 6" tail Quote
Sam (Bones) Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 output shaft of the trans has to be changed to use the other tailshaft housing Quote
Heckeng Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 You can run the 9" tranny if both the output shaft and tailshaft are both for the 9". You do have to shorten the driveshaft though. Still, that may be cheaper than having a transmission rebuilt. I run a 9" tailshaft transmission. Quote
kc8oye Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 unless you have a 4x4 monte.. I don't think you have a transfer case *chuckle* Quote
