Any ideas on what they did here?

Got the frame painted and I've been wondering what these are all about. Think someone had extra frame bracing that was cut out later? They are on both sides. Any ideas?

My guess is someone had weld in ladder bars. That's whats left of the from Mount brace.

I agree with Tom looks like ladder bar mounts

I bet that's what it is. An old school weld on set of ladder bar mounts. Maybe removed with the original rear end as it isn't the factory unit. I bet there is a story there.
