Washer Fluid Level Indicator

I have the optional washer fluid level indicator but the fiber optic line has come disconnected from the float assembly.  Is there a way to reattach the fiber optic cable?  I see picture of other MCs but cannot tell how it is connected.

Here’s mine. The cable does not stay in anymore but I think it simply pushed in tight originally.

Thanks.... I am missing the metal end on mine.  Now trying to find something that size is my next challenge.

The end on those fiber optics lines is just a metal piece that is "dimpled" to stay in place.  I've used ends from any GM cars from the 80s that had any sort of fiber optic lines.

If you can't find any let me know and I'm sure I have some around somewhere.

I wonder if a couple of wraps of duct tape would hold it in place until you get the real deal?

maybe you can use an airline feral  for the metal piece.

Or a small piece of heat shrink wrap tubing.
