I really appreciate the offer however I'm just wrapping my refurbish up. I just would like a nice yellow cap to go along with it. Ron Quote
Grant MacPherson Posted March 14, 2021 Posted March 14, 2021 sorry, I don't have any extra. I have been trying to find something to make some out of and if I do I will let you know. Quote
rotinrob Posted March 14, 2021 Posted March 14, 2021 I could use a complete compressor. I do not have a core to exchange rotin Quote
Grant MacPherson Posted March 14, 2021 Posted March 14, 2021 I am away for another week or so and will send some pictures and price when I get home. Quote
Jeffrey Aldrich Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 Anyone have pictures of compressor installed Quote
Michael Boyte Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 Fantastic looking engine compartments. Obviously I don't have one or I would already know. Were the air compressor canisters Black or anodized in 1970 ? What about in 71 ? Quote
1970mcss Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 I thought that the 70's were anodized but I have also heard that they were also some in black. I decided to have mine redone in anodized because the compressor was missing from the car. The tank on the compressor was anodized when I found it online. Maybe someone smarter than I will chime in Quote
Dtret Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 Based on my original what paint was left was black. That doesn’t mean it’s correct but that’s what I went back to. I can always change it later if necessary Quote
willie Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 I think all the ones i have are/were black. I have a question ( i will ask with others in a diff post also) what color is the wires that run that pump? Quote
Canuck Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 The colour of the compressor depended on the factory as far as I have seen. Quote
MC1of80 Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 Willie, no wires. It runs off of engine vacuum. Quote

MC1of80 Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 The dual snorkel air cleaner on the blue 71 SS is from a Pontiac GTO. The one on the red 70 SS is from a 70s Camaro. 1 Quote

willie Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 Tkx Tom, but then that still leaves me more wires to figure out. LOL Quote
