Whew recovery is tough but progress made

Well my post surgery knee recovery is going well but has pretty much canceled my interior sheet metal work because I can’t crawl around in the car. So now I’m shifting to the drivetrain. I finally got the 454 off to the machine shop for a hot tank and crank polish. Since my Ricky Racer days are past and to save money for other things I’m building it back as a warmed over 454.   I have most of the internals but waiting until I see which heads I find before I order the pistons and cam. I did score a sweet set of old school Cal Custom finned valve covers this week so I’m doing the one legged banana dance😉 I haven’t seen any dancing bananas on here lately but you long time members know what I mean. I’m including a pic of the valve covers.

It’s good to be going forward again after the setbacks of the past few years.
