I was getting prepared to attach my newly painted fenders when I noticed a stamp on the inside.

is this a date of manufacturing?

That’s what I would guess too: Feb 23, 1970.

I think so too. I just checked the other fender & it’s stamped 22 2 1970 so that makes sense.

I looked on mine couldn't find it, I'm assuming you can't see it while fenders are on the car

I looked at my 71 fenders. Not there. That’s a nice find. Good looking out.

Had to check mine too. I can’t see them with the fenders on.

Well, in the name of automobile preservation and documentation, I believe you know what needs to be done.

Grab a ratchet and the socket set and get crackin’!!

Good thing mine were already off.

I will have to inspect the pair of 70 NOS fenders I have in storage to see if they are dated.

As much as I would like to know, I don’t see that happening. 😂 LOL!
