Ok so I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row before the engine swap. I did a search through the forum for headers and came up with 2 possibilities, Dougs D313 and American Racing Headers. I had hoped to re-use my factory exhaust manifolds but ARH told me probably not since the crate probably has "D" exhaust ports. Anyway as most of you know ARH are a tad more pricey, but everything I read there were no "mods" needed and no need to move or shield the proportioning valve. One thing that impressed
Good news/bad news....as usual with this entire job. Headers arrived this morning, box is beat up a little (my same UPS friend that beat up my gas tanks apparently), but no shipping damage. However, even though it was clearly stated on every piece of paper, invoice, shipping label, etc (highlighted in yellow)....no O2 sensor bung welded on the collector of the header.
