  1. I was getting leaks with the cork type gaskets for my aluminum valve covers. Switched to the blue Fel Pro silicone ones and that solved that issue.
  2. Those seem to be the only ones I ever see pop up! 😆 The really crazy thing about those bezels is the variations out there. Some have the tabs over the steering column and left side vent while some don't.
  3. For some folks, 100% originality is their thing. Im that way with my 85 SS. When it came to my 72 I built it the way I wanted it because at the end of the day I don't care one bit what it's worth - I'll be dead when it gets sold eventually anyway! Build it to what ever is pleasing to your eye. Its your car and your money.
  4. Haven't tried that yet but I may!
  5. It doesn't seem to be. 🫤
  6. Is the head rest supposed to sit flush with the seat back? Mine have never been able to go all the way down to the hase of the seat back. In the 72 sales brochure I'm seeing them flush with the base. What could be causing this?
  7. Another vote for Morris. An upgrade definitely worth the money.
  8. Just an FYI, I ordered cloth seats from Legendary in February and I'm STILL waiting on them...so if you're in a hurry, you may want to find an alternative.
  9. Congratulations! Monte looks amazing!
  10. Anyone have a parts source for those actuators? Ever since I dropped the Blueprint 350 in my 72 I can hear the door open when I accelerate and close when I let off the gas.
  11. The SS needed some love so I gave it a good cleaning and replaced the console shifter plate trim piece.
  12. Gas tanks are fresh on my mind as I just replaced mine last week....72's have 3 vents, 1 on each end and 1 in the middle - all 5/16 size. The sending unit will have a 3/8 fuel supply and a 5/16 return line.
  13. By the way, this the tank a replaced it with from Jegs. Came with a nice coating, and what's crazy is I ordered it on a Saturday and it was on my doorstep in SC on Sunday! https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/78052/10002/-1?trk_msg=BV3PF1G6GA2KL8AA2Q302T7AR0&trk_contact=FRCLDDVEDKT2FBHB2S56S0PR0S&trk_module=tra&trk_sid=ALQ2882E63G1A129O2T06K1VM4&trk_link=ON7ALISOVJC4LA546KIN1NDGU0&list_key=54D1647EA4CD04234423B4912B&uni_key=5c471bd06d7324df34728e4889b729736346796f71e6fc9ddab2f015d6137f0e&utm_source=listrak&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Product&utm_campaign=Transactional&utm_content=Order+Confirmation
  14. Finally got my fuel guage working correctly after 25 years...discovered that I did in fact install a 17 gallon fuel tank back in 2000 (thanks advance auto parts!). Bought a 20 gallon tank from Jegs and installed it today. Lo and behold my guage works perfect now.
