  1. Thank you to all that helped with this, I finally had a chance to get under the car and saw the issue. It is fixed, it was a Homer Simpson reaction when I saw it. (The fuel supply line from the sending unit was folded in half 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️)
  2. I had a wild cat seeking shelter in the car shelter, figured it would have controlled them, I dont think it wanted to help.
  3. So, what im hearing here is, drop the damn tank, lol. I appreciate all the help, was really hoping for an easier fix. Yes I know its not difficult to drop the tank, had it out 10 or so years ago but I was in better shape then 😂. On another note, we had a rat problem last fall/winter, they could have gotten in there and messed things up too.
  4. I haven't seen any leaks so far, I tried running without the cap and there was no difference. I am going to put a small gas can under the hood and run a line straight from it to the pump to see if that makes a difference.
  5. Thanks for the input, I still haven't figured it out, will keep looking
  6. I have replaced the carb, fuel filter and fuel pump, the rubber line from the frame to the pump is good, guess the tank is coming out. Should I siphon the tank first? Has a half a tank.
  7. If the strainer is plugged, whats the best way to clean the tank?
  8. Gas is fresh, ever heard of the strainer getting plugged?
  9. My initial problem was that it would run out of fuel at wot, now it it a runs out of fuel after a couple miles, crank it over for a few times and its good for about a half mile. Its a 402 5 speed with a 2 line fuel pump. The new issue started after the car sat for about a year. Any suggestions? I have replaced the carb, fuel pump and filter with no change
  10. Terry was a hell of a guy, met him through the club, was looking forward to seeing him and his wife next year at the meet
  11. I just swapped a 5 speed into my previously auto car, is there a difference between the two in the crossmember?
  12. Thank you all, yes, the bracket is different but I do have it. I apologize, I did not look before asking the question. The holes are in the frame. Looks like the proportioning valve may have to move. Will keep you posted. I have to get it running and move it over to a buddy's. Bought a 5 speed kit from SST for it
  13. I am converting from auto to standard, is the location for the z bar bracket pre drilled on the frame or do I have to “locate” it. This is for a 72
