  1. Close I believe it's a Mercury. Bob
  2. Does anyone have an extra one? Bob
  3. Scot S. I'm not sure. The mirror has two studs that go through the top of the door and have nuts on them. The mirror does not have the bracket. I think it takes a wider gasket. Bob
  4. Thanks, monte70z20 I tried them, they have the gasket for the non-remote mirror. I don't they are the same. Bob
  5. Does anyone have a gasket for a driver remote mirror, or know where I can find one? I checked all the usual places and had no luck. Thanks, Bob
  6. There are two different height transmission mounts, short and tall. Which mount do you have? Bob
  7. Sent to brother-in-law. (65 Mustang) Bob
  8. thanks guys. Bob
  9. Makes me wonder what happened to the original engine. Bob
  10. ODE CExxxx (counter or crate engine) was used from 1968 to current year. It represents any CID and is used to indicate this particular engine was replaced under Warranty. It is a direct replacement for the original equipment. It doesn't indicate what the original equipment was. My engine is a CER code. So it appears to be a replacement engine. I didn't find a serial no. by the oil filter area. Bob
  11. I didn't make it out to the garage today. I will check by the oil filter tomorrow. The great granddaughter's birthday was today. Bob
  12. V= Flint 417= April 17 CRE= 350 ci 4 brl. 350 turbo trans. No serial number Bob
  13. I was checking the engine code for my Monte had have a question. On the top right side of the block there is a engine code but no serial number. Would this indicate a replacement engine? On a side not I'm not sure this engine is out of this car as it was not in the car when I got it. The engine code is V0417 CRE, which is correct for my car. Thoughts? Bob
  14. Well guys, I went will mineral oil. I soaked it down and let sit for approximately 24 hrs. It seems to have soaked some of the mineral oil. Then I wiped it dry. It looks pretty good. I wrapped it in plastic and put it back on the shelf. It will be a while before it will be installed. Bob
  15. Thanks for the replies. I'm not sure what to use yet. I will let you know what I do. Bob
