Great news !. Rob Peters got er done!. He’s been in communication with the group coordinator of our host hotel in Somerset, Ky , and they have been in contact with the owner of that particular hotel. And I understand we now have a contract with everyone’s approval involved at a fantastic price for our 2026 mini meet in Somerset.. I personally thank and appreciate Rob for going the extra mile, believe me , to secure a great hotel at 2023 prices !!! Will make detailed announcements this weekend . My view today, taking a rest from work and painting the house. Camping at cave run lake with my wife and black lab and our little dash hound that has cancer . Her sister passed earlier this year of old age. Harley is her name and she won’t live to see another camping trip. They both loved to go camping.. this trip is for her, even tho she tires so quickly now. She always responds with a tail wagging when she sees us. Anyway. I will miss her and her sister always. Thought I would share a few pictures of her .. to me , dogs are angels sent from heaven to help us on our journey thru life… And they are thankful to have shared their life with us.. Ron T…

I’ve been changing the color of my house, slowly, a little each day. By myself. A lot left to be done , and I’ll need to rent an electric hijacker to get the high spots. It’s coming along nicely …

Just got a Heads up that there is gonna be great news to release concerning the Hotel accommodations for the 2026 Somernites Cruise mini meet.. process to sign up for the meet will be released as soon as some paperwork is addressed.. Rob Peters is in charge of this and is doing a fantastic job for our club.. Plan on attending this meet, mark your calendars.. it’s a gonna be a good one!!!

All we are waiting for is a price quote and contract from them .. Then that information will be passed along to club members… as well as registration procedures.. Great news, A mid year south mini meet is in the works for Somerset Ky , May 22,23 2026.. As most of you know we had to move last years full Eastern meet to Carlisle PA . Due to unexpected weather circumstance's .,, The 2026 Eastern meet will also be held in Carlisle Pa . If you can make it to that, the information has been posted by the club president on the events forum under 2026 Eastern meet . However if some of you can make it to Carlisle and Somerset , you will have a great time at both events.. For those of you members that can’t make it to Carlisle in 2026 or for those that are in this area as well , that had planned on the eastern meet in Somerset in 2025 , this is for you also!!!. Information on how to sign up for the mini meet in Somerset in May 2026 will be forthcoming.. Yes , There will be goodie bags and door prizes and activities ,,and places to go eat listed in the itinerary. This is a great time to meet some of your fellow FGMCC members and sit back and relax in beautiful somerset ky. We also will be attending somernites cruise in downtown Somerset on that Saturday and the Friday night block party at Somerset Mall.. Also some short trips around lake Cumberland for scenic photo ops.. So, make plans to set aside time to attend and bring your first gen Monte to The 2026 Mini meet in Somerset Ky.. more info soon Ron T…
